Today we feature guitarist Perfecto de Castro. Perf plays an incarnation of guitar with 10 strings popularized in the 20^th century by guitarist Narciso Yepes. Composer Johann Kaspar Mertz from the mid 19^th century also performed, “on various types of guitars, including eight and ten string guitars from the 1840’s onwards (Wade 2001).”
