Monday Motivation: Zanon Edition
“To be without some of the things you want is an indispensable part of happiness.”
-Bertrand Russell
Today we take a look at Fabio Zanon. After a short introduction, Zanon performs Eduardo Sainz de la Maza’s Campanas del Alba, a great tremolo piece that doesn’t get a lot of attention.

I love that piece and I love Zanon’s playing. However, I’m not such a big fan of Bertrand Russell.

Hi Chris!
I really like the version by Alirio Diaz

And regarding Zanon: he’s brazilian, and has created a great source of information about the classical guitar in Brazil (full with mp3’s played by Brazilians – not the fake stuff, by people who have no idea of Brazilian culture, nor how to phrase it) – it really deserves to be better known:

Hi Everyone.
FYI, ‘Campanas del alba’ is one of the required pieces for the American String Teachers Association 2011 national solo competition, senior division: http://www.astaweb.com/Content/NavigationMenu/Competitions/NationalSoloCompetition/2011AuditionRepetoire/default.htm
