The Michele Pittaluga Guitar Competition was held September 26 – October 1, 2011.
First Prize: Cecilio Perera (Mexico)
Second Prize: Kyu-hee Park (South Korea)
Third Prize: Jonathan Bolivar (Venezuela)

I just had the great joy of seeing Senor Cecilio Perera perform today in a wonderful small venue in New York City calle El Taller Latino (FEB. 5). I learned many things about the music for he provided such a variety and variation of styles with explanation. At times there was emotions that brought a tear to my eyes. It is special to leave moved by an artist.
My best wishes to all concerned from El Taller for presenting such a gift to our neighborhood.
