Composer Alberto Ginastera was born in Argentina, and is considered one of the most important Latin American composers of the 20th century. Ginastera only wrote one piece for guitar, a Sonata, but the guitar’s influence can be heard in many of his works. His compositional output includes concerti, opera, ballet, and symphonic and chamber works.
